Set in the 1930's the story takes place in an old fashioned English country house where a family has invited many of their friends up for a weekend shooting party. The story centers around the McCordle family, particularly the man of the house, William McCordle. Getting on in years William has become benefactor to many of his relatives and friends. As the weekend goes on and secrets are revealed, it seems everyone, above stairs and below, wants a piece of William and his money, but how far will they go to get it...?

The violence, mystery, sex and murder, Gosford Park has it all.
Director Robert Altman once again takes the Hollywood formula and gives a unique
, it's worth. The story begins when aristocrats during the 1932 meet in
Sir William McCordle (Michael Gambon) estate of a shooting party. Guests are
the rich with their servers confidence. People come to the farm
McCordle in pairs and traditions begun. The creation of agents for dinner
aristocrats and their masters start their personal routines.

The story moves as the characters begin to create their names and
audience learns of their different social status. The intertwining stories
among the guests begin to surface waters and the public begins to realize there is much more
in this house that conforms to what the eye.

During the night a member of the elite group is murdered. None of the guests seemed
face of this event and are only disturbed by the inconveniences
it sets up for their lives.

The only problem is Constance, Countess of Trentham the maid, Mary (Kelly
McDonald). The story begins to focus on Mary, who discovers secrets between
visitors and leads the public to solve the mystery.

The great aspect of this movie is Robert Altman skills to achieve
past to life. The payment excellent attention to detail and is capable of recreating
feelings and morale during the period of time. The audience
emerge in a film full of history and world history. Throughout the film visually Altman
the hearing shows the contrast between social classes across its various
vaccines, technical lighting, cameras and filters. His fluid camera movements
visually represent the omens and the relationship between the characters.
These elements give the public a full understanding of the mood and atmosphere
in the film.

recommend this movie for anyone who has the patience to sit and focus on
this excellent film. Although the start was slow moving properly
and the names of characters are difficult to remember, the reward is worth
efforts. This film is made for the film and all active viewers
Robert Altman fans.
In 1932, a group of socialite, landowners, Americans and their
servers arrive at a country house in a firefight during the game
weekend. As relations and tensions and twisted fabric top, so also do
dynamics and relations between different house staff
valets and below stairs. Stories and characters play, but
every time a murder takes place, police and move around the world is a
suspect. My

plot summary suggests that this is a kind of mystery and murder that
this will be the driving force behind the narrative, however
this is not the case and the reality film is much more about the
characters and relationships that has to do with the murder. To this end
the film will annoy some people that maybe are not used for the type of
Altman film producing and searching for the mystery aspect of
be everything. However, I found the place free roll
joint approach to be very pleasant and the first hour moved rapidly through the
natural interactions and relationships and in fact was the mystery aspect not
work as well, since it also requires a sudden change in
pace - a change that the material appeared to resist and obstruct.
Nevertheless, it still works, mainly because Oscar winner
letter bears out such convincing social relations and politics, which
pleasant and interesting throughout. The location is great;
the use of two cameras in scenes of group means that the actors seem
flow around as naturally as his dialogue suggest - few seem
forced to act to a fixed point and seem more realistic.

Considering the talent on board, it is not surprising that nobody really
UpStage anyone in particular and the whole feel strong.
Smith, Gambon, Thomas, Dance, Northam, Balaban and others make up the
fizzle with snobbery and unspoken resentments. Meanwhile, the staff
ground floor are equally well prepared and delivered by Mirren, Owen,
Jacobi, Watson, Bates, Grant, Atkins and others. Stephen Fry is quite minor
within the plot, but is deliciously funny, but not quite
fit into the movie than good.

In general this is a film class much in the style of Altman -
piece set of characters and relationships that we have to
a drift. Some viewers will find it frustrating that it takes so
time to get to where the mystery begins in
but in reality I found that this is the weakest aspect of the film and more pleasant
the parties were well-written characters and dialogue, which deservedly won her Oscar
Fellow.
