Albert Markovski (Jason Schwartzman - Rushmore) is an urban guerrilla.
A freedom fighter against urban sprawl and businesses sponsored
Excess Development. At least that is how he likes to think of himself. In reality

and their work is beginning to suffer. His wife is Dawn Campbell (Naomi Watts
- Mulholland Drive), she is the beautiful face, body and voice of the Huckabees
Corporation. That is until he discovers that life is
sense, we are all just atoms trapped in an endless cycle,
and identity is an illusion.
She discovers this through the work of Bernard (Dustin Hoffman) and
Vivian (Lily Tomlin), husband and wife existential detective agency.
They are hired by Albert to investigate why it feels so empty
in his life, and to answer your question number one - what's the meaning of life
. They observe him 24 hours a day and investigate all other
relationships in his life. This leads them to Dawn, which begins on use of
dungarees and a baby bonnet after his "treatment".
Meanwhile Tommy Corn (Mark Wahlberg - Boogie Nights) is a client of
Bernard and Vivian's body. He is going through a crisis.
A former student of Bernard and Vivian, a Russian existentialist nihilistic
named Caterina Vauban (Isabelle Huppert) has sent his book on why
nihilism has the answers you are looking for. The comes to believe this is correct
and Bernard and Vivian believe that you need help with
"existential partner" and is presented to Albert. He try to convince the
Albert nihilism is the way forward, but Albert falls in love with
Caterina and discovers that it is not.
be regarded as an "existential comedy" I've been meaning to see '
I Heart Huckabees, as was originally released about 6 months, but never
reached the same round. Totally kicking myself now because
was absolutely magnificent. Impressive banda sonora, inventive and original
cinematography, some astonishing performances and most importantly, a great
history. Directed and co-written by David O. Russell (along with Jeff Baena
) that the past gave us' Three Kings', well received against war
comedy drama in the first Iraq war. Personally, I do not think
'Three Kings' status at the height of fashion, a pleasant film insurance, but not particularly innovative or terribly
reflection.
'I Heart Huckabees' hits' Three Kings' outside, the dialogue has so many levels
is difficult to peel away, but as Bernard teaches "
everything is connected. " La banda sonora is to always-impressive Jon Brion has
gives us great music to some of the best movies of recent years such as
'Magnolia', 'Punch Drunk Love 'and' Eternal Sunshine of the spotless

'Mulholland Drive'. The film's main theme is one of anti-corporatism,
but is not as widespread as to make the general feeling optimistic
enlightenment and acceptance of the film immerses us in
The best part of the film for me is the inventive use of visuals to illustrate perfectly
scientific and philosophical ideas.
Is pure eye candy, sections of the film peel away, mixing with other areas
of the screen to form new paintings, shows us how everything can be
deconstruction. We are all the same. All this is just atoms, identity
is an illusion, we are all connected.
'I Heart Huckabees "is released on DVD in the UK today.
It is not often that a film provokes thought, as well as laughter, but
"I Heart Huckabees" manages to hit both marks.
This film is about finding answers to questions that most
the characters do not seem to know that they are asking. And their
guides along the way, deftly portrayed by Hoffman, Tomlin and Huppert stir the pot
confusion in this mess of boiling anguish, deceit and
discontent. And it's fun! While performances by Schwartzman, Wahlberg and
Act (sounds like a law firm) were wonderful and
which holds the real star of this movie is the writing. It's very thoughtful,
without being heavy-handed. And the humor manages to take the material that normally
comes across as pretentious and makes it acceptable for the common folk as
myself.
This is a great movie if you're in the mood to relive in his mind the
ultimately matters "us", "what we are?" ; Why? "
