Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde is a very disappointing because
sequel fails to deliver laughter. Elle Woods is now a rising young lawyer
in a large company, a requirement to balance a career with
preparations for his wedding to the man of her dreams.
But when she discovers that her beloved dog Bruiser of family members
cosmetics are being used as subjects of one of their own clients, she is
up for their rights - and was promptly fired . Mrs Woods
decides to go to Washington to take matters into their own hands. The plot actually had some chances
Unfortunately, the execution was very poor. The original
was not an Oscar film quality is just a fun movie to see. The
sequel is not as fun or is fun in general. It is quite
the same as the first film and so it was a fairly useless sequel. Reese Witherspoon returns
and it does a good job but she works with a
weak script. The supporting cast is not very good since none
add much to the film. Sally Field is a very good actress but her talent is
in vain. Luke Wilson's character is not very interesting and Jennifer Coolidge tries hard
most of the time. Regina King is a new addition
for the cast and she makes an acceptable job, but nothing memorable. Missing
this sequel is Selma Blair, this does not matter even though his character
was not really necessary. Charles Herman-Wurmfeld
replaces Robert Luketic as the director and does a very bad job. The runtime
is a brief 95 minutes, but feels much longer than then. The film was
much longer because the film was not only fun. There were some amusing moments
although most of the jokes of this movie was issued at best,
small chuckle. Are Some amusing moments redeem this movie? No, this sequel
is one of the worst sequels of 2003 and one of the worst comedies
2003. After all, this sequel may sound funny but I assure you
is not. Rating 4.3/10, rent the original place.
Undoubtedly, this movie is a lower tracking
Legally Blonde. Too many characters are recycled and made to look cute, but
do not work so well as when it was fresh. However, Reese Witherspoon
has created in "Elle Woods" a character who is nothing but fun
monitor. She never stays down long, always picking herself with a new approach
until it achieves its objective. I see as a
'Roadrunner' cartoon, but with real people. It's silly and
plausible, but fun. In this case, the 'bad guys' are the U.S. Congress
in a parody of his habit of backroom deals and followers
take care to ensure re-election, even if nothing is done to help
constituents. Elle Woods believes that using animals to test cosmetics,
and your quest is to get a law that will make it illegal. Nothing
more than cute, funny fluff.
