Based on Marvel Comics' superhero character, this is a story of Peter Parker who is a nerdy high-schooler. He was orphaned as a child, bullied by jocks, and can't confess his crush for his stunning neighbourhood girl Mary Jane Watson. To say his life is "miserable" is an understatement. But one day while on an excursion to a laboratory a runaway radioactive spider bites him... and his life changes in a way no one could have imagined. Peter acquires a muscle-bound physique, clear vision, ability to cling to surfaces and crawl over walls, shooting webs from his wrist ... but the fun isn't going to last. An eccentric millionaire Norman Osborn (William Dafoe) administers a performance enhancing drug on himself and his maniacal alter ego Green Goblin emerges. Now Peter Parker has to become Spider-Man and take Green Goblin to the task... or else Goblin will kill him. They come face to face and the war begins in which only one of them will survive at the end.

Poignant, fun and a faithful adaptation to the original comic.
I am very critical of movies and comics that I am a big fan of the medium and
was terribly disappointed by the Superman and Batman movies (all of them
, some much!). This film, however, has shown once again that a
adaptation of a comic book history can be fun and faithful to history, yet
be a film for all ages and those who can not have never even read a comic book
. The Raven was the only other comic book movie good in my opinion, but
this is not a fun for all ages is this walk!

I had the privilege of seeing the movie last night, 4-30-02, SF
with the press and other 300 people for its "Bay Area Premiere."

The act is the best part of the film with which leads us to fund
that I was not sure would be permitted by the chosen style of the story. Maguire
was awaiting a guy who can rarely take a break, but attract
difficulty with ease and aplomb. He is clumsy with the woman he loves, but
eloquent when it comes to the family, like most teenagers are still
today. The gave us great joy at the prospect of "swinging web
and kick some ass deserve much! Dafoe is very frightening as the man who
has succumbed to the power games of the business world who drives a decent man
mad struggling for perfection in itself difficult
while trying to please all the people wrong in vain, and then being consumed by guilt
that has built over the years of neglect family finally
helps push him over the edge when the opportunity to make a big mistake presents
.

The rest of the cast is almost as spectacular with JK Simmons
turning in the best performance in the film as Jamason J. Jonah. When he appeared on screen
lite things further and went to make a fire in all
audience laugh and I almost p ** my pants. Harris as Aunt May and
Robertson as Uncle Ben are excellent options and gave the movie a lot
its credibility and finesse. Allow what happens with Ben and Peter (I am not saying
) is marvelous and the best punctuation to what makes Peter fazer which makes complete and brings credibility to the story. I'm not a big fan
Dunst, but she was very much like the love of Peter Parker and the life of a person
much like Peter was not only aware of it.
This for me is a more realistic version of "true love".

The script was much stronger than I expected with some wonderful dialogue;
verbal exchanges, solid plot points and pace. Many good parenting
lesson can be found in this movie, as well as interesting reflections on the
choices we make in life that we might think are not big deal when in the heat of
passion, but may well return to haunt us if we do not think before we act
/ speak: that is the confidence of the film in my humble opinion.

address Raimi also was much better than I expected from
someone who is known (and loved), for its top on the camp and action. Many
of the fight and action sequences rather than "do more" that I like, but
were solid and very similar to a comic of the Silver Age
hence the story comes so that the film fits perfectly. Nice cinematography without CGI
take control and the undermining of realism, in fact, much of the web
swinging truly credible. A few observations made things a bit difficult
"believe", but all along I think most people will be able to suspend their disbelief
.

Danny Elfman. Need I say more? He is the man when it comes to "super hero" and
music is the closest thing to John Willams and the late great Bernard Herman
is today. Establishing the subtle humor and most of the audience
probably not even realize. Tomorrow is my day off and I will be
purchasing the score to add to my collection!
