Pat Riley, an obnoxious busybody of undeterminable sex, meets and falls in love with Chris, a sensitive, caring person also of undeterminable sex. Their relationship suffers because Pat's a lout, and cannot decide on a direction for its life. Meanwhile, Pat's neighbor Kyle falls further and further into obsession with Pat, fascinated by its indeterminate sexuality.

I loved Kids in the Hall, so that one day when this stink of a movie on HBO
was looked at me, thinking that it could not be all bad, if
Dave Foley was in it. I was really wrong. That is roughly 80 minutes that I have never
back. Not only that the film is bad, is that
main character, Pat, is totally unlike. It behaves like a complete
uncomfortable visceral, forget the feelings of others.
All the time I spent just hate nature.

The only reason I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 is to establish
Pat's apartment. I liked almost Googie architecture style architecture, and
retro interior decorating. But other than that, I do not recommend this movie
, for some reason, even to see Dave
another dress or two.

If you really want to see a spin off SNL, check out "
Stuart Saves His Family" is actually quite good.
I am one of the few proud to defend IT'S PAT, and say that I think
giddy little film a delight. It seems that since some critics proclaimed
bad, the audience followed suit as sheep, say it is bad
in fear of being thought of as idiots. I'll bet you anything that many of these folk
secretly got a kick out of the movie - kind of like those who claim that
love bands like Korn and Limp Biskit, but when away from their peers listen
to Pet Shop Boys and Erasure.

Pat is undoubtedly a grid of characters, but there is a reason for that, in order
in history to reach its determination. The characters are all on the top
(Charles Rocket as the obsession neighbor is deliciously creepy and quite
hoot) and, if you just stop trying to pick the film apart if you find that < br> you sit back and let the silliness to take its course, you might just find yourself chuckling
here and there.

or not we never know if Pat is a man or a woman (as well as Chris
's love interest) is not really the important issue. It says a lot about
being yourself, not letting others dictate your life and self-consciousness, and
just find the positive in everything. Pat is undeniably upbeat and never lets
stop anything that comes to him through life. Some might argue that
Pat really must be a man because of the nature later, while Chris
seems more quiet and passive, but is only a test of perceptions from
people are being reared told that men and women are passive aggressive. Some have even
ido in territory that does not apply:
about cross dressing and stereotypes of gay and gender norms. It brings to mind a
I love the phrase that sounds really true: You do not have to be the camp to be gay,
and you do not have to be aggressive to be male. IT'S PAT successfully
encodes up stereotypes and gender issues, and makes a great soup she

Before garbage IT'S TAP in order to feel you are among those who
"really" know what is worthy of cinema or decide ahead of time you will not like
, see it in secret if you must decide, and then. I found this film to
be much more entertaining and more fun than movies vacuum (like a road trip,
for example, which was backed by strong promotion and in my opinion should be in part
bottom of the list instead IT'S PAT). I will defend IT'S PAT
for the day I die, and I am happy to include it as part of my collection of films.
Not be afraid to break with mainstream opinion and enjoy
something different!

Julia Sweeney has done something happy here, and although I am sure that it is obtained
past criticisms of now, I would give him a big hug for this
effort!
