Three American brothers who have not spoken to each other in a year set off on a train voyage across India with a plan to find themselves and bond with each other — to become brothers again like they used to be. Their "spiritual quest", however, veers rapidly off-course (due to events involving over-the-counter pain killers, Indian cough syrup, and pepper spray), and they eventually find themselves stranded alone in the middle of the desert with eleven suitcases, a printer, and a laminating machine. At this moment, a new, unplanned journey suddenly begins.

This is a movie with moments occupied. Wonderful moments.
Is not so much concerned with the mechanics of the plot, but to me, never boring.
Wes Anderson has matured in subtle ways, and this movie is a well-crafted
the mix of personnel and pageantry - Powell and Pressburger and
Cassavetes. "The Rules of the Game" and "Husbands". "The last detail"
and "The River".

The "spiritual journey" is used as a pretext. Some people really do not like this
. There is much humor in watching three brothers in India stoned
pharmaceuticals, trying to pray and make deviating
arguments on belts and stolen secrets confided. They are poor.
People are flawed. Audiences tend to like his characters so nice
that are stereotypes Bland. People can be privileged and disaffected
and remain beautiful and intriguing.

the end, this movie is a fun ride. A stroll through various
fancy cars, occupied by compartments of colorful characters and incidents
. Wes is the most overlap "dolls" with aesthetics
the real world. He is not so hung up on every little thing
and I could say that faces the search for details and peripherals as well as
were, waiting for him in India.

I have to admit that it is the air of arrogance in all of Wes Anderson films
of his style and probably will never change, but I love every one of them
(even exaggerated "La Vida Aquatic "I was sick).
He knows how to push my emotional buttons and entertain the hell of
me, this seems to me rare in most of the movies to see. Usually, if I
want to be entertained, I think the film has to compromise the
emotional value and vice versa. With Wes, I'm laughing, which is
entertained by the characters and care for them. The second thing
Adrien Brody last ran into Bill Murray running in slow motion toward the train as
The Kinks' "This time tomorrow" kicks in, my heart began racing
on the idea that I was about to see a new film by Wes, who
look like something special that comes every few years. Wes'
Critics complain that this is a pretentious a-trick pony, a real
statement, but to me, not a negative, because I love her and I love the universe
be invited to it in each of his films. While
love both of them, I sometimes wish that Tim Burton will
a movie that was not a kind of gothic fairy tale, or Paul Thomas Anderson
would make a movie that does not star his own ego. With Wes, I
want him to continue what has been done: keep using the same
impressive style while taking baby steps of progress. The writing, acting,
direction, soundtrack, production design and cinematography (well,
ALL) are high in "The Darjeeling Limited". Hell, if
"Rushmore" was not a goddamn masterpiece, I would say that Wes has done his best film yet
