Sam the snowman tells us the story of a young red-nosed reindeer who, after being ousted from the reindeer games because of his beaming honker, teams up with Hermey, an elf who wants to be a dentist, and Yukon Cornelius, the prospector. They run into the Abominable Snowman and find a whole island of misfit toys. Rudoph vows to see if he can get Santa to help the toys, and he goes back to the North Pole on Christmas Eve. Christmas is a must see TV for children. Come Through week, I find myself
TV Guide control to ensure that it is not lost.
The small house in the land of misfit toys is still my vision of

Rudolph is more than a special Christmas is a holiday tradition. I Always
look forward to the special moment during the Christmas season
when I can see this. This is especially loved one of the few things that brings
of my childhood. Most of today's children enjoy seeing this
as much as their parents did when they were small.
In the DVD's introduction, the producer Arthur Rankin says that Rudolph the red nose
Rainder apparently has been seen by over one billion people around the world.
It is perhaps second only to The Wizzard of Oz as the most watched program
of all time.
Rudolph is the first in a line of Christmas specials that were produced by
Rankin and Bass and written by Romeo Muller. Some of the others are:
Little Drummer Boy (1968), Frosty the Snowman (1969), and
Santa Claus comes to town (1970) and Here comes Peter Cottontail
(1971) and Puff, The Magic Dragon (1978). It's hard to imagine all of these classics
special is the creation of one man. Mr Müller is
Christmas!
The origins of Rudolph the Red Nose Rainder are derived from the song written by Johnny Marks
in 1930 or 1940. A short
Max Fleischer cartoon was made in 1948 with Robert May to create its history.
However, Rankin and Bass Christmas special is based on the
Johnny Marks song, but other than that, it is all the creation of Romeo Muller.
Hermey the Elf, Sam, the snowman, Yukon Cornelius, Claurice, the head
elves are all creations of Muller. Even Rudolph's personality is created by
Muller. In the 1948 cartoon Rudolph did not speak.
I have always liked Burl Ives as a singer and an actor.
His part as Sam the Snowman is my favorite by him. All the people behind the scenes doing the voices
were talented.
Used stop motion animation with puppets in motion as it did with King Kong.
Rudolph is a timeless classic that lead me back to simpler time of childhood
every time you watch it. I hope that my young children to enjoy what
