Roddy is a decidedly upper-crust "society mouse" who lives the life of a beloved pet in a posh Kensington flat. When a sewer rat named Sid comes spewing out of the sink and decides he's hit the jackpot, Roddy schemes to rid himself of the pest by luring him into the "whirlpool." Sid may be an ignorant slob, but he's no fool, so it is Roddy who winds up being flushed away into the bustling sewer world of Ratropolis. There Roddy meets Rita, an enterprising scavenger who works the sewers in her faithful boat, the Jammy Dodger. Roddy immediately wants out, or rather, up; Rita wants to be paid for her trouble; and, speaking of trouble, the villainous Toad—who royally despises all rodents equally, making no distinction between mice and rats—wants them iced ... literally. The Toad dispatches his two hapless hench-rats, Spike and Whitey, to get the job done. When they fail, the Toad has no choice but to send to France for his cousin—that dreaded mercenary, Le Frog.

Vi rinsed Away in a press conference in Berlin in which screening is shown in
English to an audience mostly German. Leaving aside the cliches
(The Germans have a sense of humor - is simply different, okay?)
Coming as another in a long list of films with CGI and (let's be honest here
) Unless gripping concept, rinsed Away
had only a certain amount of goodwill for this professional group. So when a
public like this, including yours truly, laughs out loud and often
then there is something special on the screen!

The mood is overwhelmingly English and none of the moral
messaging family who makes films from other studios such
cringe-inducing experience. The characters are very well prepared
(literally and figuratively) and the voice cast is universally excellent
. The standard of animation is fantastic, but once you
never get the sense that no one shows what they can do.
This is a story-and character-driven film, with the technology exists to serve
. Whatever writing, because it is being done claymation
themselves a disservice.

lovers Wallace & Gromit and Aardman's work in general will have a
the ball spotted oh so many references. The level of detail is incredible
and will have many displays and many hours with the DVD in

When a film made of several writers, as well as consultants comedy,
is usually a sign that the script has ido horribly and tragically wrong.
Maybe it did, to begin with, and the start is only a little slow, but soon picks up speed
and jokes, verbal and visual, just keep coming.

Like the best family films, rinsed Away appeals to all audiences
ages, but younger ones can find a little long. Not that to reach
any time, simply that the wee tots could get fidgety, you understand.

The cast do a great job and I will not bring anyone to
special mention. The proceedings are in cash and around the world is obviously
have a tongue in cheek good time. For professional reasons, I get to watch
around 300 or more movies a year. Rinse Away belongs to it,
very few who wanted to see again just after he had finished. And before you ask
, no, I am not being paid, induced or threatened in writing
at gunpoint. I had a cracking good time, like my
girlfriend (Julia, German, with a sense of humor) and you too.
Like many movie reviewers, I had a lot of reservations about this
when I first saw the movie trailer. At first I thought it was going to be a fact of
hastily nervous CGI cartoon on cartoon animals,
full of top 40 or dance and songs full of topical jokes. The fact that
as I waited for the movie to start, half the trailers were for
CGI more nervous about the cartoons cartoon animals and the other half went to movies on
trash talking about fairy tale characters.

Fortunately this movie was a blessed reprieve from all that. In
Rinse Away, Aardman has done studies that another family classic
will remain as entertaining ten years from now as it is today.
of course, is loaded with a bunch of pop songs and Oldies, but most of them are
sung by a chorus of slugs (which makes one of the best running gags
I've seen in a while).

The story actually felt quite fresh for a family film, or any movie
for the case. While it is by no means unpredictable, which is not too
feels as though he were treading on the same ground most family films seems
go over these days. The jokes were surprisingly intelligent. While there
the usual slapstick comedy, there are a lot of highbrow
jokes thrown into the mix. (How often are references to Kafka in
a animated feature, after all?) What I liked about this movie was
Aardman who remained faithful to its roots of making stop-motion films.
My initial worry that they had sold and will fazer CGI movies out here as in all others, but when you see the
film, you'll see it do its utmost to
maintain the appearance of its other animated films as Chika Run and Wallace & Gromit.
In general this is a great choice to take his family to see, and worth seeing even if
is a grown too.
