I went to this movie expecting the worst and could not have been more wrong
. Romero did a good job of maintaining what it does best-and zombie
social commentary. The gore and special effects were really good and
"Dead Reckoning" does not look much like a dawn of the dead (remake)
parking shuttle, as in trailers. I did feel that
introduced "Big Daddy" form of early film and abused him.
I would have enjoyed the movie more if he was a zombie.
Cameo's by Simon Pegg, Tom Savini, and Edgar Wright
were barely noticeable. I would have liked to see more "daytime"
scenes but I do not think that is what Romero had in mind. In general, this is a fun movie that
sudden had a few scares and a good sense of humor.
Land of the Dead - Part 4 of George A. Romero 's zombie
quadrillogy. It has been decades since the dead began to walk the Earth, and now
virtually the same (with the exception of Canada, for some reason).
There is a bit last mega-city that is surrounded by electric fences
, armed patrols and barbed wire on the one hand, and nothing else
water in all other four sides, because the dead allegedly not
like water. Despite the fact that the surrounding land are riddled with
zombies, this metropolis is incredibly corrupt. All thanks to the evil bureaucrat
Kaufman (Dennis Hooper, who had a ball watching) that makes
all but a few rich people (who have never seen or fought a real zombie
) live in slums . There you can get your picture taken with
zombies, zombie or see fights (fighting for animals and the occasional human
). There are some mercenaries paid to make careers in a giant tanker truck
for precious objects in the outside world.

Now I like George and could thank him relentlessly to start the zombie
franchise, but he has always favored gore just a little longer
development of character, and has always its just like zombies much more
that his humans. Heck in this movie, the zombies are virtually
the good guys! They are like you and me, except that rip people's arms
in two (and I mean length-wise) and the rupture of navel rings
people. They are actually quite clever and quick to moderately
walk. By far the greatest threats to Romero movies (especially
"Big Daddy" (Eugene Clark). For the most part, however, it works, and
is good gory fun. Except development character thingy. Despite that
not begrudge Romero to have fun with their zombies, I was not too sympathetic to
Riley (Simon Baker) and Slack (Asia Argento). Riley, like
Romero , It seems, is just tired of character development as it has Riley
say "I'm tired of back-stories." However, Riley dear boy, who is
as the audience grows to care about you. Slack almost kills several of his teammates
-mates and not grow at all, but that is the script's fault
. Both of these characters, however played well so it
the actors are given.

Surprisingly the minor characters are much more beloved.
Cholo (John Leguizamo) is not only credible as Merc, but I was quite sympathetic to
he realized that he was a pon. "Pilsbury" (
Pedro Miguel Arce) and Charlie (Robert Joy) was beloved and fun.

hence, the effects are good. The story is iffy. The act is good.
The development of character is iffy. The end is really lame. This gives you an overall B
