Ben Campbell is a young, highly intelligent, student at M.I.T. in Boston who strives to succeed. Wanting a scholarship to transfer to Harvard School of Medicine with the desire to become a doctor, Ben learns that he cannot afford the $300,000 for the four to five years of school since he comes from a poor, working-class background. But one evening, Ben is introduced by his unorthodox math professor Micky Rosa into a small but secretive club of five students, Jill, Choi, Kianna, and Jimmy whom are being trained by Professor Rosa of the skill of card counting at blackjack. Intriged by the desire to make money, Ben joins his new friends on secret weekend trips to Las Vegas where, using their skills of code talk and hand signals, they have Ben make hundreds of thousands of dollars in winning blackjack at casino after casino. Ben only wants to make enough money for the tuition to Harvard and then back out. But as fellow card counter, Jill Taylor, predicts, Ben becomes corrupted by greed and his arrogance at winning which lets his feelings get in the way, and it also puts Professor Rosa, as well as the group, on the radar of a brutal casino security enforcer, named Cole Williams, who holds a personal grudge of some kind against Rosa which threatens to undo everything the students have learned and earned.

21 It is worth seeing a restless Friday or Saturday night with friends, but
is nothing more than that. The film features pleasant
performances by actors Kevin Spacey and Laurence Fishburne, as well as enjoyable as
entries lesser known whole.

however, does not have a film expert to notice some of the
more ... horrible lines. "That's software is impressive ."... Come on,
seriously? Just bad writing.

And the flow of the plot is painfully cliché, until the end
where things are certainly quite unpredictable. The end was unexpected, but
worked and trained by plot before the points were
predictable.

"21" is entertaining, that's all. Nothing more and nothing less.
After reading Ben Mezrich "Bringing Down the House", in which this movie is
basa, I was excited to film. I usually leave by
movies that are based on books, but that was not the case this time.

Although there were a handful of cliché parts of the film, all in all
do is excellent. The visual effects were well done, and
acting by Jim Sturgess, Kevin Spacey and Kate Bosworth,
was exemplary. Some people may criticize Spacey for his' taste ', but I believe his image
Mickey was stellar.

The film is suspense, a solid plot line, scattered scenes fun, and
a good end. The people I went with none of whom had read the book,
found even better film than I do. If you like the movie enough,
I recommend reading the book for a fuller story.
