In this sequel to the Evil Dead films, a discount-store employee ("Name's Ash. Housewares.") is time-warped to a medieval castle beset by monstrous forces. Initially mistaken for an enemy, he is soon revealed as the prophecised savior who can quest for the Necronomicon, a book which can dispel the evil. Unfortunately, he screws up the magic words while collecting the tome, and releases an army of skeletons, led by his own Deadite counterpart. What follows is a thrilling, yet tongue-in-cheek battle between Ash's 20th Century tactics and the minions of darkness.

I remember when this film came out only at the theater, I did not know anything about movies
Evil Dead, and indeed had not even heard of them.
From the previews I had zero desire to see this film. The years passed and
in late 2000 or maybe 2001 I finally decided to see it, because I had heard
much about it and just can not take anymore, I had to see what the fuss is
about. I was not disappointed! This is probably one of the funniest
movies I've seen!

This film is definitely not for everyone though. The comedy in this movie
is very strange, so it could understand if someone has not found it amusing at first.
First you need to bear in mind is that this movie is not trying to be
serious, and most definitely not taken seriously. The film is simply
strange, but that's what makes it so great. You really can not explain this movie
someone who has not seen, just about
for yourself.

addition, if not already know, this is the 3 rd share a
series. Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2 are the first two assessments, then Army
darkness. You do not even need to see the first two to understand what is
passes or anything like that. In fact, to this day I still have not seen
Evil Dead. When I looked Army of Darkness, I had not seen either
Evil Dead or Evil Dead 2. Since then, I have seen Evil Dead 2, but neither is a film
prerequisite for this movie.

Also, this movie has a tremendous amount of lines citable. Bruce Campbell is
man! The way they said things is simply brilliant!

Well, I really hope that you will see this film. But beware
with an open mind and remember that this is a stupid movie, but is supposed to be.

Picking that "Evil Dead II" made it a little upset opening
Bruce Campbell, now a full blown Han Solo smart ass, is trapped in the darkness
and finally found that the destination Deadites
after it recovers the Book of the Dead, which can also help
send back to their own time. But Bruce, be as stupid as he is,
screws up the magic words that are aimed at maintaining the Army of Darkness outside and he ends up
unleash an army of skeletons not by accident that took
his evil alter ego. You should now use its 20 century
know how to save the day or forever the poor state of the Earth.

Bruce is back and fun than ever. Not real horror here, more than one
parody of a big-budget fantasy adventure film. Regrettably, a large number of
jokes were left on the cutting room floor that are usually only
expanded DVD'sy television presentations.
