GOAL is a very good football movie, a sort of a throwback to all sports
films of the 1940's-50's. There were some unexpected surprises, too.
I never knew that Newcastle could see as good. I had only seen
represented in the wonderful "Auf Wiedersehen, Pet" TV series, and then
was being dismantled by the Auf Wiedersehen crew - including
Christopher Fairbanks, which has a small role in goal. Will Recommend
goal for soccer fans? Most certainly, and for lovers of British cinema,
too. There are one or two very minor things about the movie that leave
me a little surprised, however.

How can Tony Plana, the actor plays the hero of the Mexican gardener
father and illegal cross border, realistic play that role when
which has a mouth full of those artificially large, Hollywood
shiny teeth? I could not get past - a gardener without a green card
but which has thousands of bright dental work across the screen! No self-respecting
actor should never get involved with this absurd fashion
leveling, bleaching, bleaching and optical. It is simply false, false, false
. As good an actor as is flat, what I have disqualified the
role for that reason alone.

My other comment is really a question. That is playing the issuance
commentator in the film? The credits say it's someone named Rob Lee.
however, the voice that sounds seems to me, yet I can not find someone
in football broadcasting named Rob Lee. Whoever is
who is doing a good job and sounds very authentic.

I really liked the movie.
Overwhelming smaller dog story that has been done a hundred times and
is definitely fraught with cliché, but I loved it, however. "Goal!:
The Journey Begins" is the first of a trilogy as a young Mexican illegal immigrants
(Kuno Becker) in Los Angeles have an opportunity at the brass ring
in all of England places to play football one of its professional teams
after being discovered by scout / former player Stephen Dillane.
Tony Plana (always low rating and excellent) is excellent as
Becker's cold father and Marcel Iure
offers an incredible performance as the British team's head coach. Becker also teaches an unintentionally
Brash superstar (Alessandro Nivola) who has forgotten the real reasons why
played football why this game is so important and also found companionship in a
strange land with beautiful nurse Anna Friel.
Great cinematography and a wonderful score to make a move and
entertaining experience as the film touches the strong emotions of love,
friendship, sacrifice and ultimate success against all odds. A little long
and not totally original, but still does well enough to be a winner
that enforces its goal in the final. 4 stars out of 5.
