In the early 90, there was a clear, consistent presence in
action films: slow-motion cinematography, wild gun-play, and fun
a line. Of course, there are still some of those today (2004), but
simply is not the same as in the day. Now there are so many special effects
in the current action films that drowns out what used to be
the great style of a "popcorn movie".

Die Hard paved the way for such films, and some of the
the offspring of this fact well and did not. The last Boyscout
was one that did well. This was a very intelligent and fun
action / thriller / buddy-comedy that can still be enjoyed until today.
Tony Scott is the captain of the under-appreciated action films in
90, as this and True Romance.

My suggestion is to get a package of 6 - go rent this movie,
sit and enjoy the ride.
The Last Boy Scout is undoubtedly one of the greatest action films
ever made. There is nothing that a good action film that requires non-woven
Tony Scott in the vision of Shane Black's screenplay. We
shootouts .... lots and lots of shootouts. We have Bruce Willis. We
football. We have some beautiful women at our disposal. There are some
fast cars. There are drugs. And the profanity-laden dialogue is so well written
that virtually the entire script can be read in the
memorable quotes portion of the site.

Our history, albeit totally absurd, it has some real depth. We
and multi-dimensional characters who are taken on quite a ride with them as
of the action. Bruce Willis plays a burned
private investigator who helps a dishonoured former pro football player
solve the murder of his girlfriend. Before our story ends, we have a dirty U.S.
senator, a football team greedy owner, and about a hundred seeds
henchmen thrown into the mix. Things that happen so quickly that only towards the end
is one of our characters speak in fact a line that sums up how ridiculous
is everything. Damon Wayans, who plays the former football star
Willis gives some sobering vision. He noted that Willis
must be one of the dumbest people alive. He is not only trying to save the life of
man who ruined his career, but also trying to avenge the death of the man who
f * # king was his wife! Pero somehow, public
care about the outcome, getting there could not be more fun.

The film is dated pretty well until that point. Being as though
left in 1991, can still see a much higher fade into a black
character or two. The football uniforms have changed a bit, too, but
these are minor things that have nothing away from the enjoyment of
history. Water is still wet, the sky is still blue, and this remains one
hell of a movie ... , and then some! This film scores a perfect 10 of 10
stars. It could not have done better.
