I have yet to find a dictionary with powerful enough adjectives to describe

how bad is this movie. I imagine it takes great skill and diligence
to extract all of the merits of a fund
nice book and still leave a recognizable (but without soul) history intact, but people
that led to this painful adaptation clearly both qualities in abundance
.
Getting started to criticize this unholy mess is quite problematic, but

this is by far the least of this movie concerns.

If you're a fan of the book, I urge you not to tarnish their enjoyment of this

to subject you to this movie. Upon seeing this scum would be the equivalent of

film desecrate the grave of a relative favorite.

Even if you were not a fan of the book (which, in my opinion, is excellent
apart from the last pages), even those with a heavy cold can not miss the
suffocation ham stench wafting from most of the cast, with many
and very talented actors and actresses on board, some of them really should have known
better. I felt such shame to Amanda Plummer only his name
seeing his opening few scenes that I hoped for a while that my President
open and swallow me whole. As for the lady who was playing
Wilma, I can only assume that his performance is the result of some sort of

dare he had failed in its horribly and the director was too polite to < br>
comment on the incident. In all fairness Max von Sydow gives
fairly creditable performance, but their noble efforts being
like a salmon trying to swim up Niagara Falls - he is good, but the flow is much
against him .

Lame acting aside (for which the director is probably more culpable than the

performers), this is just a scrappy, unsatisfying mess. The breadth of
original story is compressed to such an extent that the main characters have

the depth and panache (and most of their motivation) wrung from them even before
the first shots of this movie were taken, all that remains is the unadorned
charmless and skeleton of a fine story. It is impossible to be objective
on hypothetical scenarios, but I imagine that I have thought

this was a very bad movie, even if I had not read the book. My disappointment was simply
amplified by the power of hope.

There should be laws which prevent these kinds of movies
happening.

Things needed (the movie) revolves around the fictional town of
Castle Rock, Maine. A businessman named Leland Gaunt adequately played by Max Von Sydow
opens a small antiques shop type called "Things necessary" and
has some very unique and special items for certain people in the city.
Its sole purpose of being in the city is rife with people in
Castle Rock. Doing this for the trade of special products for certain jokes
of the city people turning against everyone else and poisoning
their city. I think it's important to try separately and a film is
source ... in this case, the unique Stephen King novel.
Unfortunately I finished the novel hours before seeing the film adaptation
which must bear the inevitable comparisons. I think
even in his own, the film lacks something ... the development of character.
We know nothing about these people, and for being a Stephen King
this story is unfathomable. King always spent hundreds and hundreds of pages
has led to delve into a city, is the people, every person and every
his personality. This film tries to ignore everything that
and go directly to the root of the story is an ancient evil (in this case
presented clearly to be the devil) who wants to destroy this city.
King created things necessary in part to destroy his creation that is elaborately
Castle Rock, the movie simply wants to take the call
better for the parties and re-create it. This film is not as good as it should be
partly due to the capricious nature of attendees that the film can not stand to
sit in a theater for at least 1 hour and 30 minutes. For Justice,
this film should be a mini series of at least 4 hours. The most
sides were undoubtedly the most cast. Ed Harris has played a strong, powerful and
Alan Pangborn and Bonnie Bedelia was an intriguing still, unfortunately,
Polly underused. Sydow played a decent Leland Gaunt, although the screenplay
could have done much more for him. The cast including
JT Walsh, as already out of balance Danforth (Buster) Keaton was very well done
. The film just left me begging and crying for a full
adaptation of the book. I understand that the writer or writers tried to pull together what
best he could, but not lived up to an incredible
book that has too many important elements that were left out. The film
is welcome and probably more so if you have not read the book. Simply
always feel that something is missing. It is worth seeing
especially if you like King movies. 6 / 10
